I have over 30 years of rich and varied professional experience, working with a wide range of individuals and organizations addressing the challenges of living and working well in an often stressful world.  My career has included many years of providing psychotherapy as well as managing organizations and consulting on leadership and quality improvement issues. I currently provide psychotherapy in a private practice setting.

Education and Training

I received my  BA in Psychology from Bowdoin College, my Master's degree in Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh, and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia.  My pre-doctoral internship included training at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital, The Consultation Center/Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis, and Rutgers University Counseling Center. I received my post-doctoral training at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital in New Jersey.  Since earning my doctorate, I have continued to be involved in training through the International Psychotherapy Institute, and am currently a candidate for certification in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. I was on the Board of Directors (Secretary and CE Coordinator)of the Philadelphia Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology from 2009 to 2013.


I am licensed as a  Clinical Psychologist in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
